What is Trust? Really a simple question, right? Or is it? In the context of a D/s relationship from the submissive side, it is the faith and knowlege by the submissive that her Master/Mistress will not take her beyond her limits (except for an occasional attempt by her Master/Mistress to take her safely to new limits and expand her).

 It is the faith and knowlege in her Master/Mistress, based upon experience, that he/she will not let harm come to her. It is the faith and knowledge, based upon experience, that no matter how naked and how vulnerable she may be that she knows that she is Master's/Mistress' most prized possession.

But what about trust from the Dominant perspective? This is not that easy to answer. What is trust? We can only answer this subjectively from our view.

For us, it is having honor and respect for the slave in all areas of her life so that she can be a whole person and honor us and the relationship that we have together in everything that she does.

Trust is freedom, or at least a very liberating feeling for both, Dominants and slave. It is the freedom that comes with knowing that one is accepted for oneself.

Trust is the knowledge, based upon experience, that in everything you do, you bring honor to your Owners, even in situations that cause some discomfort.

Trust is knowing that nothing has to stay hidden, that nothing is judged but accepted with love.

Trust is not a rule book with thousands of pages. Trust is security and venus has made me secure and in turn I give her security and the permission to be who she is, and to be loved and cherished for that.

  My beloved slave, one final thought, and maybe the most important, about trust is what you have taught me. You are graceful, submissive and desirable. There are many who would give much to have a sexual encounter with you. There is no telling what they would give for the sacred honor of being called by you as "Master" or "Mistress".

 What you have taught me about trust is that I need only place my trust in you, my cherished slave, my venus.
